- To configure mail for Mac OSX
open up your mail program then click on mail and then on Preferences
- Then Click on Add account to
create a new e-mail account
- Then fill in the information
as follows:
E-mail address: your new POP email address
Example:
Your username@introport.caFull Name: your name as you wish for it to appear in the from field of your emails
Host Name: mail.introport.ca
User Name: your username is the beginning of your e-mail address, so for example jonhdoe@introport username would be johndoe.
Password: your selected password for your new e-mail account
SMTP Server: mail.introport.ca
If Use authentication when sending mail is checked please click on it to remove the X.
- Click OK to save the information and exit the mail preferences page.
